I was wrong about mobile gaming

My initial resistance

I admit it. I used to be a bit of a video game console snob. I used to look at the games on mobile as an interesting oddity. The main problem that I have with mobile games is the lack of tactile controls. I have large hands, and I do not like my fingers obscuring the screen while I play. For me, touch controls for most games just feels awkward. I have recently purchased a Backbone One device. It is an attachment for iPhones that make your phone into a gaming system. After years of being resistant to mobile gaming, I have finally submitted to the fact that mobile gaming has genuinely evolved to my satisfaction for being something to dive deeper into. I was resistant to mobile gaming, mostly due to being forced into using touch controls for games not designed for them. I do not like having virtual buttons replicating controller buttons, and littering my screen during gameplay. I only like touch controls for games that are built from the ground up to be better with touch controls, such as match 3 puzzle games (i.e Candy Crush Saga).

That problem has been mostly solved with my recent purchase of the Backbone One controller. With this device, the virtual buttons disappear, and I have my tactile real buttons to control the action on screen. Having this controller has opened up mobile gaming in many ways.
