Don’t sleep on Stadia
I got a Google Stadia (Chromecast Ultra and a Stadia Controller) last year as a free gift from Google for being a YouTube Premium subscriber. I found the system to be enjoyable, and at times comparable to a console experience. I do not think that it serves well as a full replacement to a console, rather as a complement to it. I have recently connected the Chromecast Ultra directly to my modem via the ethernet cord to maximize the connection quality. I do have a top-tier internet subscription, so it is quite capable of game streaming in 4K. Even with this setup, there is still the occasional hiccup or frame drop that can happen with the internet. But considering that I have paid absolutely nothing for the hardware, and just pay $9.99 for the occasional monthly Stadia Pro subscription, the experience is one that is not to be ignored. Currently, I only own 1 game for Stadia, which is NBA 2K21. I got this game for about $1.00 after sales and game promotional credits. I am now considering purchasing a second game for Stadia. The quality of the graphics is certainly impressive. I have been playing Dirt 5 via my Stadia Pro subscription, and find it to be an overall superior experience of playing the same game on my Xbox One S.
